Okay Everyone, here's the deal. We need your help!!!! On Aug 15, on her way home from work, Lucy Salazar was hit by an uninsured woman who was talking on a cellphone.
Lucy suffered a broken left pelvis, right hip broken, her left femur and several other bones were broken. She is in a wheelchair and can't work. She worked at Walmart as security guard and was only making 15/hr. As many of you know, Walmart doesn't hire full-time workers so that they don't have to give employees benefits, which means Lucy was already living from paycheck to paycheck, and paying for her own insurance.
After two weeks her insurance allowance ran out and she was kicked out of the hospital. She has no money for further doctor visits or medication. She's not even sure how long she'll be able to keep the wheelchair.
She is really in a bad way. If you can't attend, maybe you can send a few dollars to Bianca/Lucy Salazar 333 S. Jensen Dr. Houston 77003. You can pay for a $10 ticket even if you can't go if you're inclined. But I will be performing and would love to see you there.
